How To Do Disk Cleanup In Windows

When we open start our operating system and do some internet access, play the movie ,mp3, software installation, uninstallation and the other stuff then day by day your system will contain a unused files or temporary files which will slow down your computer. For cleaning those junk files you need to clean your it through inbuilt Disk Cleanup tool in windows. I have made this tutorial in windows 8, in windows XP and windows 7 option may vary.

Procedure

Step 1: Start up your machine and go to My Computer.

Step 2: Select the drive which you want you clean up. Select the drive and Right Click on it and go "Properties".



Step 3: Then drive properties will open. In "General" tab click on "Disk Cleanup" option.



Step 4: Now another box will open. On there Files to delete: section select tick mark in following all

Downloaded Program Files
Temporary Internet Files
Recycle Bin
Temporary Files
Thumbnails



Step 5: After selecting the above all click on "Clean up system files". After that you will see a progress bar. just wait for a second to come up the another box.

Step 6: After seeing a progress bar another box will open. On that box select the "More Options".



Step 7: In "More Options" segment their have a sub segment called "System Restore and Shadow Copies".



Step 8: In "System Restore and Shadow Copies" section click on "Clean up...".

Step 9: A box will open to ask for confirmation then click on "Delete" and the confirmation box will disappear and then click on "OK"

then again system will show a confirmation for deleting files , click on "Delete Files" , after that a progress bar will show and the junk file will delete successfully from your system.
