Install a Printer In Core Banking System

Social:

a. Form Settings

• Click on Start ==>> Settings ==>> Printers and Faxes
• Right click on blank space (On the right side) ==>> Server Properties
• The dialog box – “Printer Server Properties” will pop up
• Select “PBFORM” from the list of forms available on that machine. If it is not available, then click on the check box “Create a New form” and enter “PBFORM” within the text box for Form Description.
• Select Form Description (Measurement) ==>> Units in English
• Give width of the form = 8.1in (= 20.57cm if units is chosen as Metric)
• Give height of the form = 6.3in (= 16.00cm if units is chosen as Metric)
• Also make sure that the values in Left, Right, Top and Bottom in Printer Area Margins are zero.
• Click on “Save Form” and click on “Close”

NOTE: For passbook printing, it is important to select the form created above in the printer settings.

b.)Attaching Form to Printer  
To attach form, Right Click on the PassBook Printer (in printers and faxes menu)
Go to Properties and select PBFORM in three places mentioned below

1. In General tab ==>> Click on Printing Preferences ==>> Advanced
2. In Advanced tab ==>> Click on Printing Defaults ==>> Advanced 
3. In Device Settings tab

 Test Printer connection by printing test page.

c.)Connect printer in Gateway PC
 The following 2 steps should be carried out by the DC team.

1. In Branch gateway server, type the IP address of the printer machine. (Ex. \\10.11.2.28)
2. Right click on the appropriate printer & click on CONNECT to install a shared instance.
